Chocolate chunk cookie lovers and fudge brownie fans alike will rejoice over this newest copycat recipe – Domino’s marbled cookie brownies! Made by swirling together sweet, buttery cookie dough and rich, decadent brownie batter, these cookie brownies are simply to die for.

Domino's Marbled Cookie Brownie (Recipe Copycat!) (1)

If you’ve ever been to Domino’s Pizza, you know that a nine-piece order of their marbled cookie brownies are the perfect sweet treat to serve after a bunch of pizzas. Brownies in general are one of my favorite desserts. My healthy pumpkin brownies and gluten free brownies are always super popular with both adults and kids.

Which is why I was super excited to try to recreate this ideal dessert at home! These treats take things up a notch by creating a classic blend of rich chocolate brownie with another fan favorite, chocolate chunk cookies.

This Domino’s marbled cookie brownie recipe copycat is decadent, delicious, and I think tastes even better than the Dominos pizza version!

Domino's Marbled Cookie Brownie (Recipe Copycat!) (2)
  • Dutch Processed Cocoa: rich and decadent cocoa powder that makes these Domino’s brownies a super chocolatey treat.
  • All-Purpose Flour: adds a nice chew to both your brownie and cookie layers.
  • Chopped Chocolate: creates swirls of gooey chocolate throughout your brownie batter.
  • Sugars: brown sugar and white sugar combine to add a deep and sweet flavor
  • Butter: adds richness and flavor to your marble cookie brownies.
  • Eggs: binding agent used to hold all your brownie mix and cookie dough ingredients together.
  • Chocolate Chips: slightly melt to create warm milk chocolate chunks throughout the chocolate chip cookies layer.
  • Vanilla Extract: helps to round out your other flavors.
  • Sea Salt: a pinch of salt brings out the intense sweet and chocolatey flavors of these marbled cookie brownies.

📖 Variations

  • Create double chocolate marbled cookie brownies by adding a bit of Dutch processed cocoa powder to your cookie dough.
  • Make it allergen friendly: This recipe is already free of certain allergens like peanuts and soy. Additionally, you can create gluten-free cookie brownies by using 1:1 gluten free baking flour instead of the all purpose flour.
  • Use peanut butter cookie dough instead of chocolate chip for a chocolate peanut butter marbled brownie.
  • Make this decadent recreation healthier: Reduce the amount of sugar by 1/3, and use whole wheat pastry flour instead of all purpose flour.
  • Make it vegan: While I haven’t personally tried this, I would guess that vegan butter and flax eggs would work well in this recipe.
  • Try a different cookie layer: Use any of my other chocolate chip cookie recipes for the top layer!
  • If you’d like you can bake your brownie cookies in two distinct layers if you don’t want to swirl your batter.

❓Recipe FAQs

How many calories are in a Domino’s brownie cookie?

A traditional domino’s pizza marbled cookie brownie has about 200 calories in it. The calorie breakdown of our homemade brownie cookies, is slightly higher, but is pretty close to the original.

Is Domino’s cookie brownie healthy?

Everyone’s definition of “healthy” tends to be a bit different, but I think most people would agree that a Dominos cookie brownie is a gooey dessert that should be enjoyed in small portions, or as a once-in-a-while treat (since stopping at just one bite or a few bites will be hard!)

I would consider this homemade version to be slightly healthier than the original since it’s made with all natural ingredients and you can reduce the sugar or change up the flours to be healthier (see variations above).

Is Domino’s marbled cookie brownie vegan?

Neither the original nor the copycat version of these marbled cookie brownies are vegan. However, you can easily sub the eggs, butter, and chocolate for vegan alternatives to make my cookie brownies vegan (see variations above).

🧊 How To Store

Transfer any leftover marbled cookie brownies to an airtight container, cover with plastic wrap, and store on the counter for up to 2 days or in the fridge for up to 1 week. You can also freeze these treats in a freezer safe, sealed container for up to 3 months. Defrost in the fridge overnight, then warm in the microwave before serving.

👨‍👩‍👧How To Serve

This domino’s delectable marbled cookie brownie recipe is a rich dessert that is best served after a lighter dinner. I like serving these marbled brownies after my pumpkin salad, leek asparagus soup, roasted cauliflower salad, or spinach pizza. You can also pair them with Domino’s pizza delivery or cheesy bread for an indulgent meal!

These sweet and gooey marbled cookie brownies also make the perfect base for a wide variety of fun toppings. Try placing a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a handful of chunky chocolate bites, a drizzle of caramel sauce or chocolate ganache, or a sprinkling of chopped tree nuts to the top of each brownie.

💭 Expert Tips

  • For the cleanest cut lines, make sure to let the brownies cool completely – this will ensure they don’t crumble when slicing. Also, try slicing your brownies with a plastic knife for cleaner lines.
  • Make sure to use a high quality unsweetened cocoa powder as opposed to a sweet cocoa mix.
  • Be careful not to swirl your batters together too much; you want the different flavors to stay distinct.
  • To make sure your brownies have a fudgy texture, whisk together the butter and sugar thoroughly. But do not over mix the brownie batter. It will cause the brownies to be dense and heavy.
  • Use room temperature ingredients when making your cookie dough; it will come together much more easily.
